The Vermont Book Shop provides friendly, personal, and individualized service to all of our customers. We carefully select the books we carry to reflect the essence of our community and an informed world-view. As stewards of an institution that contributes to the vitality of greater Middlebury, we strive to engage with and give back to the community that supports us through event programming, local partnerships, the VBS Friends rewards program, generous discounting for schools and non-profits, and charitable contributions. In business continuously since 1949 and rich in history, we embrace new technologies, follow the lead of changing consumer behaviors, and continually look for new opportunities to remain viable and useful. Qualifications
We have a carefully curated collection of resources for writers that includes writing and publishing guides, memoirs and literary essay collections and anthologies. We also carry and support local literary magazines.
