Description
Ghostwriting
Do you have a great idea for a book, but never seem to have time to write it? Tell me your story, and I will write it for you! Ghostwriting services include help with structure and organization, as well as committing the actual words to paper. I can capture your voice and bring your message to life and you won't have to lift a pencil.
Manuscript Evaluation
This package is a more comprehensive review of your manuscript. Typically, a manuscript evaluation includes a careful reading of your manuscript, a consultation about your vision for the completed book, in-text commentary, and a 6-8 page final report detailing the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript and making concrete suggestions for improvements. Authors really appreciate the combination of line-by-line comments in the text and a final report that helps to guide next steps.
Copyediting and Proofreading
The need for editing, revising, and proofreading varies greatly between manuscripts. As a UCSD Certified Copyeditor, I can help with all three. These services often follow a manuscript evaluation, but can also be arranged as independent projects.
Copywriting
Authors often feel like their own worst enemies when it comes to writing book blurbs and author bios, but these are the very things that attract readers. I have written for Kirkus Editorial for severaI years; I know how to create engaging jacket copy, book descriptions, and biographical blurbs that reflect your style.
