As a successful Hollywood screenwriter, I know what studios and networks look for in screenplays and television pilots. And as a professor, I have learned how to balance these commercial expectations with my deep love of helping people express themselves and discover their passions.

Currently Assistant Professor, Filmmaking at Champlain College, Julia created short award winning independent and experimental films, while working for two decades in Hollywood writing TV, feature film and video game scripts for production companies including Warner Bros., NBC, the CW, Universal, Fox, Regency, Electronic Arts, Crytek, Sony Pictures, Dick Wolf Productions and Reese Witherspoon's Type A Productions. Three of her produced TV episodes (for Smallville and Hercules) were chosen as "Pick of the Week" by both Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide. Her coming of age novel, Bold, hit the top ten best-seller list in Amazon's teen issues category.
